Israel’s military announces it will begin airdropping aid into Gaza and establish humanitarian corridors for UN convoys starting Saturday night. Daily “tactical pauses” from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Muwasi aim to scale up humanitarian access. The move follows rising global criticism over civilian deaths during aid efforts and warnings of famine. The UN World Food Programme reports that 25% of Gaza’s 2.1 million population faces famine-like conditions, with nearly 100,000 women and children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
