Elon Musk predicts at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington D.C. that advancing AI and humanoid robots will make work “optional,” comparing future employment to playing sports or video games. He says currency will become “irrelevant” and claims automation will eventually eliminate poverty. Musk appears publicly for the first time since leaving the White House in May, after stepping down as head of the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency.
