Central European Petroleum (CEP) announces a major oil and gas discovery at the Wolin East 1 well off Poland’s Baltic Sea coast—one of Europe’s most significant conventional finds in a decade. Located near Świnoujście, the site holds an estimated 22 million tonnes of crude oil and 5 billion cubic metres of natural gas. The broader 593 sq km concession could contain over 33 million tonnes of oil and 27 billion cubic metres of gas, signaling a major energy breakthrough for Poland and the region.

Around 150 TikTok employees in Berlin are on strike after parent company ByteDance announced plans to replace staff with AI, according to trade union ver.di.
